Parent Academy is educational programming created by the NSSED Association of Parents and Staff in collaboration with it's member school districts parent leadership groups.The Academy's purpose is to provide parents professional learning that empowers them to be active, collaborative, and engaged members of their child’s educational team and school community. These workshops are free and open to the community.
Parent Academy Sequenced Learning Sessions are designed to provide a Level I introduction to a particular topic and a Level II in-depth understanding of the subject area. Participants are welcome to take the Level I courses alone. Participation in Level II workshops requires Level I attendance as a prerequisite.

Funding l - Government Benefits and Funding
Session I will cover several potential sources of funds and eligibility for government benefits, including SSI and SSDI. This session will be facilitated by Nancy Spain Esq., Spain, Spain, & Varnet.
