The NSSED Parent Education Series On Transition: Funding, Housing and Employment helps families learn and understand their options for supporting their child outside of the school system. After the school years, parents become the main advocate (case manager) for their child, so it is important to learn about the options that are available to create a set of supports in the community. These two hour workshops are free and open to the community.

Grounding the Day in Employment
Let's all raise our expectations regarding employment by understanding the basic principles of supported and customized employment and how Employment First and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act support individuals with disabilities. This is a critical session in learning how to think of your young adult in the workforce.
