Intended Audience: Teachers, Teaching Assistants and other school staff implementing the LLI

Activity Description: The Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention System (LLI) is a program designed for supplementary literacy intervention in small groups in order to help struggling readers. LLI supports learning in both reading and writing, and helps students expand their knowledge of language and words and how they work. The workshop will review the components of LLI and prepare participants to lead instruction using the program materials.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will understand the components and instructional strategies of the LLI program in preparation for leading small group instruction
  • Participants will learn how to place students and monitor their progress within the program.

PD Hours: 3.0
Registration/Coffee: 8:00 am to 8:30 am
Session: 8:30 am to 11:30 am
