Hello Northbrook Jr. High Families!
We are very excited about the upcoming school year and are looking forward to having the students return to the classroom. It was wonderful to get the chance to meet with many of you at the end of last school year to discuss the exciting opportunities and changes that will be occurring in the Northbrook Jr. High ELS classroom this year.
As you know, this year we will have two professional staff in the classroom five days a week. Kristen, our classroom teacher, is a familiar face for the students coming up from Westmoor and for the NBJH students who came from Greenbriar or Westmoor. She has been a teacher with NSSED for seven years, and is excited to be part of the junior high. Megan, our Speech-Language Pathologist, has worked in the ELS room at Northbrook Jr. High for the past two years. She is thrilled to be at NBJH full-time and is looking forward to working with students in all aspects of their school day. In addition, Nora Geraghty, our Intervention Specialist, will be spending two days a week in the classroom. She has worked in the ELS program for the past four years and has had the opportunity to work with many of our students during her time at Westmoor.
