As a parent of a child with special needs each of us will have a parenting journey unique to our own child. But, like all parents, we share a great deal in common as well. There is great knowledge, comfort and laughter to be found in groups of fellow parents of children with special needs. This interactive panel presentation will provide the audience with a perspective for reframing their experience at each of the significant transition points in our children’s lives. Parents on the other side of some of these transitions will share the top ten things they wish someone had told them as well as their resources and perspectives. Our discussion will touch on social, family, academics and recreational topics.
