| Adapted Physical Education |
Provides services designed to meet the physical needs of students who, because of physical limitation, are unable to participate successfully in the regular physical education program. In most cases, adapted physical education is provided in conjunction with the regular program with consultation to regular physical education staff regarding program modifications and adaptations for students with disabilities. |

| Assistive Technology |
Provides consultation for students who require assistive technology for success in the classroom. The team can evaluate the appropriateness of technology for use by the child and incorporate it into the regular curriculum. Team also assists with finding and funding of technology and ongoing support of its use in the regular classroom. |

| Autism Services |
Provide districts with program development and implementation support for students with autism to school teams and classroom teachers. The autism team includes a program coordinator, speech/language pathologist and special education teacher. |

| Early Childhood Consultation |
Provides coordination of a program for students with disabilities attending a regular preschool or nursery school in their community. Consultants oversee program planning and orientation and provide ongoing professional development and teacher assistant training. |

| Coaches and District Services |
Provide school teams support in designing and implementing research-based interventions for students through professional development and site based coaching. Intervention topics include academics, behavior/emotional issues, and inclusive education. Coaches are committed to utilizing the problem solving process in providing this support which includes data based decision making and progress monitoring related to intervention effectiveness and student performance. |

Provides students with physical, sensory, neurological or motor disabilities assistance to meet their unique educational goals. These services facilitate fine motor development, promote independence in daily living skills and increase skills through the use of adaptations.

| School Health Services |
NSSED school health services are committed to supporting students, families, staff and member districts in their efforts and activities to promote health, safety and wellness. It is our vision to implement programs to maintain and encourage health, safety and wellness from birth to adulthood by:
- Forming collaborative partnerships with families, member school districts and staff to ensure a safe and healthy classoom environment.
- Working within the transdisciplinary model to improve health, safety and wellness to students, families and staff.
- Educating families, member school districts and staff on current health, safety and wellness topics specific to our student populations and to the public at large.

| Transition Services |
Transition staff provides professional development, case consultation, and linkages to adult services providers to support successful post high school transition for students with disabilities. Staff is available to present workshops, attend IEP/Transition Planning meetings, and consult with parents and school personnel at the request of the member high school district.
